SEND A
SIGNAL.

Email works best. I read everything myself and usually reply within two days — faster if your message has a question I can actually answer, slower during build season. The form below goes straight to my inbox.

If you're a student wondering how to start something like the nonprofit or the patent — that counts as a real question. Send it.

Do & don't.

⊕ Do

Ask the specific question.

"Could a 48V branch circuit handle a mini-split?" gets a real answer the same day. "Would love to pick your brain sometime" sits in the inbox because I don't know what you need.

⊕ Do

Tell me what you've already read.

If you've looked at the patent abstract or the OpenH₂O write-up, say so — then I can skip the background and answer the actual question.

⊕ Don't

Send the form letter.

If the same email could go to fifty other people, I can usually tell. A sentence about why you're writing to me specifically goes a long way.

⊕ Don't

Pitch crypto / NFT / MLM things.

The 48V patent is about residential wiring, not mining rigs. These get deleted unread.

⊕ Do

Offer a mentor swap.

If you build hardware for a living and could look over my KiCad drafts for half an hour, I'll trade you what I know — FRC controls, board-level repair, or teaching tech to a room of skeptical seniors.

⊕ Do

Invite me to speak.

I've run library workshops, coached FLL kids, and presented to town officials. Tell me the audience and the topic. Free for schools, libraries, and nonprofits.

⊕ Sessions / What You're Booking

This is what a yes looks like.

If you invite me to run a workshop or give a talk, this is roughly what shows up: toolkits, handouts, and a plan for the room.
